About Lost Books
Lost Books is an antiquarian bookshop for the books that slipped out of print and out of memory: first editions, period bindings and long-forgotten titles printed between 1500 and the 1930s.
Every copy is one of a kind
We do not sell titles, we sell copies. Each listing is a single book with its own history — its binding, its condition, the year it was printed. When it is sold, it is gone; its page stays up, marked sold, so the link you saved still leads somewhere.
How we describe condition
- Fine
- Close to as issued; only the lightest signs of age.
- Very good
- Light wear to the binding, text clean and complete.
- Good
- Honest wear and some foxing, sound and complete.
- Fair
- Well worn, a reading copy; any faults are described on request.
